Nicole Woischwill

Nicole Woischwill was born in East Berlin in 1976. After her background in painting she developed her photography skills. After graduating from high school she trained for three years at a German private School of Design and finished as a state-accredited photographer in 2000. During this time, she attended seminars by Sibylle Bergemann, which focused on fashion photography.

Then she worked as a photo assistant for the photographers Matthias Leupold in Berlin and Ernst Alexander in Cologne. Between 2000 and 2002, she supported a number of advertising agencies, coordinating art buying, concept and design campaigns. In 2005 she co-founded the artist group "position4".

Since 2000 she has also been working in Berlin as a freelance photographer, specialising in fashion, portrait, cinematic and experimental photography.

As a master student of the eminent Professor Arno Fischer, her artistic activities were further developed from 2007 up until 2011 in the "Ostkreuzschule", where she additionally seminars held by Werner Mahler between October 2011 and February 2012.

In 2010 she co-founded the Gallery of Contemporary Photography "exp12 . exposure twelve" in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, where she was an active member until October 2013.

Her photographic art is exclusively affected by the analog photography.
